What is obstructive sleep apnea?

Obstructive sleep apnea occurs when your muscles relax during sleep and block the airway. Sleep apnea causes you to stop breathing up to hundreds of times a night for anywhere from a few seconds to more than a minute.

How does someone know if they are suffering?

If you or a loved one snore, have headaches in the morning, complain of  "brain fog" during the day, have excessive daytime sleepiness, irritability, fatigue, or insomnia you could be suffering from sleep apnea.

I struggled to use CPAP for many years. I attempted surgery to help after failing CPAP many times and still had apnea.  I drive a truck for a living and had to find a solution for my apnea to avoid losing my job.  I am now going on 4 years with my appliance and it is life changing.  I feel so much better and I cannot sleep without it.

I have had a wonderful experience with my oral appliance! Dr. Welch is very thorough and caring.  She takes the time to explain the process and I am so happy my physician recommended me to her practice.  I wake up feeling refreshed and my health has drastically improved. This treatment has made such a difference in my life!

I am so happy my dentist referred me to Dr. Welch! I needed a solution for loud snoring and sleep apnea.  My appliance not only treated my apnea but my wife can now sleep in the same room with me again.  I am also sleeping through the night and no longer waking up multiple times. I feel better than I have in years!!!
