What is obstructive sleep apnea?

 Obstructive sleep apnea occurs when your muscles relax during sleep and block the airway. Sleep apnea causes you to stop breathing up to hundreds of times a night for anywhere from a few seconds to more than a minute. 

How does someone know if they are suffering?

If you or a loved one snore, have headaches in the morning, complain of  "brain fog" during the day, have excessive daytime sleepiness, irritability, fatigue, or insomnia you could be suffering from sleep apnea.
